CasePalm
Walk in knowing the record
For solo & small-firm litigators
The material aspects of your case, in the palm of your hand.
CasePalm reads your record and returns the disputed facts — what supports each one, what contradicts it, what's missing, and which document says so. Every finding pinned to a citation you can open.
Free for 3 seats. Your client materials are never used to train external models.
Material Fact Dispute Tree
Reyes v. Calloway Freight
The traffic signal facing the Calloway Freight vehicle was red when the vehicle entered the intersection.
Supporting evidence
Independent witness Ruiz, stopped in the opposing left-turn lane, testified the northbound signal had been red for roughly three seconds before the truck entered.
Deposition of Elena Ruiz47:8–48:22Contradicting testimony
Driver Calloway testified the signal was yellow on approach and that he was already committed to the intersection.
Deposition of Marcus Calloway112:3–114:19Qualifying evidence
Ruiz estimated the interval by count rather than by observation of a timing device; on cross she agreed her estimate could be off by a second in either direction.
Deposition of Elena Ruiz61:14–62:9
The record is already in front of you. That's the problem.
Four hundred pages of discovery landed on a Tuesday. Two depositions, a set of RFA responses, medical records, and the carrier's business records. Somewhere in there, the driver contradicts his own employer's logs — and you will find it, because you always do, at eleven at night, on the third read.
That third read is the job. It is also the part no one is paying for, the part that doesn't scale past one attorney and a paralegal, and the part that decides whether you walk into the hearing with the contradiction or discover it while opposing counsel is using it.
CasePalm does the first two reads. It comes back with the disputed facts, the evidence on each side of them, and the page number — so your read is the one that matters.
How it works
Three steps, and only one of them is yours.
- Give it the file as it arrived.
- It does the first two reads.
- Walk in with the artifact.
Give it the file as it arrived.
No tagging exercise, no data entry, no restructuring your folders first. Upload what opposing counsel sent you.
- Depositions, discovery responses, medical and business records
- Scanned PDFs are read with OCR — photographed exhibits included
- Each document classified by legal type automatically
- Mark anything sealed; it becomes attorney-only from that moment
- Choose which documents feed the analysis, or let it decide
It does the first two reads.
The part that doesn't scale past one attorney and a paralegal — reading everything, twice, and holding it all in your head at once.
- Material facts pulled out with pinpoint citations
- Each weighted Key, Notable, or Minor against your practice area
- Seven evidentiary branches per fact — support, contradiction, gaps
- Contradictions found across documents, including within one side's own production
- Any finding citing a document outside your set is discarded
Walk in with the artifact.
The analysis isn't the deliverable. What you carry into the hearing is.
- Case Strategy for one specific proceeding, from documents you pick
- Cross-examination and impeachment outlines, by witness
- Hearing prep, deposition questions, mediation brief sections
- Turn any recommendation into a matter task on your calendar
- Export the whole thing to Word or PDF
Cross-document contradictions
Where two records can't both be true.
Both of these came out of the defendant's own production. Select a highlighted passage — the record that contradicts it lights up beside it.

Q. Did you stop at any point that afternoon? A. I took around one, one-thirty. Ate lunch at the Pilot off 35. Q. And you went off duty for that? A. . That's the rule.

Business record · Log entry 11-08, rows 41–52
DUTY STATUS ON-DUTY DRIVING 05:14 → 16:48 for this shift. TOTAL ON-DUTY 11:34
The driver testifies to a forty-five minute off-duty break. His employer's own electronic log records no qualifying off-duty interval anywhere in that shift.
Without that break the shift runs 11 hours 34 minutes — past the federal limit. The regulatory theory turns on which of these two records is right.
CasePalm scans every document in the matter against every other one. You read the findings, not the folder.
What it builds
Two flagship surfaces. Four tools that feed them.
Everything below works off the same synthesized record, so a fact you find in the tree is the fact your cross-examination outline is built from.
Material Fact Dispute Tree
Every material fact in the matter, opened into seven evidentiary branches: what supports it, what contradicts it in testimony, what contradicts it in written discovery, what qualifies it, where the other side's own documents disagree, where the foundation is weak, and what the record is missing entirely.
Seven branches per fact, each pinned to a document and page.
Case Strategy
Pick the documents that actually matter for one proceeding — the MSJ hearing, the motion in limine, the mediation — state your objective, and get back the true contested issues, who's ahead on each, where to center the argument, and the pretrial motions worth filing.
Curated by you. Synthesized against the record you chose.
Contradiction detection
Cross-document scanning that surfaces where two records can't both be true — the deposition against the business records, the interrogatory against the file.
Flagged inline, with both sources.
Ask your matter
A companion that reads the file with you. Ask what to focus on for Thursday's hearing and it answers from your documents, not from the internet.
Grounded in your record.
Trial artifacts
Cross-examination outlines, impeachment outlines by witness, deposition questions, hearing prep, mediation brief sections, summary-judgment charts.
Draft starters, not filings.
Take it with you
Export the full dispute tree or a proceeding synthesis to Word or PDF — formatted for a partner review, a mediation binder, or the courthouse.

Built for the whole firm
You, your paralegal, and the client — each in the right lane.
A solo practice is rarely one person. CasePalm puts everyone on the same matter without putting everyone in the same file — and the boundary is enforced twice, in the application and again in the database.

Attorney-band roles are the only ones that can read sealed-restricted documents. Permanent deletion stays with firm administrators.
Matter-centered chat
Conversation that lives on the matter instead of in someone's inbox, so context doesn't leave when a person does.
Shared calendar & docket
Deadlines, hearings, and events in one place, with the firm's whole week visible at a glance.
Time tracking
Capture time against the matter you're already in, with drafted narratives you can edit rather than invent.
Firm knowledge base
Templates, precedent, and the way your firm actually does things — searchable instead of tribal.
Help desk & activity feed
Internal requests and a running feed of what moved, so nothing depends on someone remembering to mention it.
Directory & roles
Ten firm roles grouped into permission bands, enforced at the app layer and again in the database.
Trust & confidentiality
Built for material you have a duty to protect.
Your obligations don't relax because the tool is useful. These are the guarantees the product is built around, not the ones the marketing page wishes it had.
It will not invent authority.
Every fact CasePalm surfaces is pinned to a document in your record with a pinpoint citation, and a verification pass drops any finding that cites a document outside the set you supplied. Where a draft needs legal authority, it does not manufacture a case — it states the proposition and marks the citation for you to supply.
Every draft carries a verify-before-filing note. The tool assists the work; you remain the attorney of record.
From a generated motion draft
Defendant's hours-of-service records were produced without a custodial affidavit and cannot be authenticated on this record. [verify authority] Plaintiff respectfully requests the Court strike the exhibit or defer ruling pending a proper foundation.
The factual assertion is grounded in a produced document. The legal proposition is flagged for you to cite — never filled in with a case that may not exist.
Your client materials are not training data
Privileged documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are never used to train external models. They are processed to answer your question and nothing else.
Staff access without exposure
Ten firm roles across four permission bands. Sealed-restricted documents are filtered by database policy, not by hiding a button — a paralegal's query cannot return them even through the AI surfaces.
Run it on your own AI account
Store your firm's own Anthropic key and every call routes through it, under your agreement and your organization. The key is encrypted, admin-only, and never crosses into the browser.
Adverse documents treated as adversarial
In litigation, much of your record was written by the other side. Text pulled from documents is fenced and framed so instructions embedded in an opponent's PDF are read as evidence, never as commands.

Common questions
The things attorneys ask first.
Is my client data used to train AI models?
No. Client materials are encrypted in transit and at rest and are never used to train external models. Documents are processed to answer the request in front of them and for no other purpose.
Will it invent case citations?
It is built specifically not to. Factual findings are pinned to documents in your own record, and a verification pass discards any finding citing a document outside the set you supplied. Where a draft needs legal authority it marks the citation for you to supply rather than generating one, and every draft carries a verify-before-filing note.
Does this replace my practice management system?
No, and it isn't trying to. CasePalm is the synthesis layer — what your record says, where it conflicts, and what to do about it before a hearing. Billing, trust accounting, and intake pipelines stay where they are. Matters, documents, calendar, tasks, and time tracking are here because the synthesis needs them, not to make you migrate.
How does it handle privilege and sealed material?
Documents can be marked sealed-restricted, which limits them to attorneys and above. That boundary is enforced by database policy as well as in the application, so staff queries — including the ones that run behind the AI surfaces — cannot return sealed material. Shared artifacts are generated without sealed sources regardless of who runs them.
Can I get my work back out?
Yes. Dispute trees and proceeding syntheses export to Word and PDF, formatted for a partner review or a mediation binder. Your documents remain your documents.
What does it cost to start?
Nothing. The free plan covers three seats with the full workspace, and signup is self-serve — no demo call. If you store your firm's own Anthropic API key, the free plan unlocks the complete AI feature set. Premium adds AI without needing your own key, plus firm-scale seats and storage.
